I revamped the save games and variables article since it was very outdated since we worked on the save game support quite a bit during the beta. Check it out and let me know if you spot any errors:

Yeah, it was the straw that broke the camel's back and finally drove me into updating the article. :)

If your mail is the one I was thinking, you should just need to change one variable into a local.

Yes I did that and now it works fine. I wasn't really aware of how/which variables were saved into the savefile and which were not. But now it's crystal clear, thanks. :)
