You could always say "If we reach X thousand mods, we'll add Y features to the dungeon editor", or you could do a "summer of code" and get some community coders to add some features next year! :p

(OK: Both dreamy suggestions, but I'm trying to think of ways of getting more features and it still be a viable option for you guys as a business decision!)

Yeah, let's first see how good a business decision it was to spend the entire summer working on the free modding stuff

I personally think it will pay off, especially if you plan on releasing DLC for Grimrock made with your new dungeon editor. Even if there are thousands of dungeons available, people would (a) want to play the material from the official story and (b) support you for all your hard work by buying the DLC. If you do make DLC, I hope it needs dialog boxes ;).

In all seriousness, you've shown your love of the community which I also think bodes well for support of your future products!

To be honest I really dont understand why you dont sell your editor as DLC,
I have seldom seen a company like yours who is so dedicated to the community, I almost feel guilty in getting all this for free - taken into account your main game was much to cheap for what it offers and this is saying one who is no fanboy, honestly I really dont like your leveling system and the way you "earn" new spells but thats another story ;-)

At least give us some info on where we could donate a few bucks for your hard work... ;-)

I'm going to pay for this editor by buying a copy of this game for a friend of mine.

Their community involvement has no doubt cemented their customers loyalty to the group, and will eagerly be waiting to jump in on the next game Almost Human releases.

@hermundure: Well, Finnish law and tax authorities unfortunately don't allow us to receive donations but thanks for the good will :) if you really want to help us, the best thing you can do is to spread the word about grimrock so that more people get interested in it.

EDIT: buying extra copies for friends doesn't hurt us either, if you're feeling guilty :D but don't worry about it too much!
