Hi - my first go through Grimrock, could someone recommend a good party build for a newbie, with full sample stats, as I don't really know where to start!?
I've always liked rogues in RPGs and want at least one mage, so was thinking something along the lines of:
Fighter - Human, Sword and armoured
Rogue - Lizardman, Unarmed or maybe dagger
Rogue - Minotaur, Missile, headhunter
Mage - Insectoid, Air or Ice (BTW is Lizard armour worth it for a mage?)
Does this look like a reasonable setup and would someone be able to recommend some suitable stats, traits and skills for such a party? Thanks!

That's a pretty nice variety setup with good choices. For a first playthrough I would go with ice magic. And I really recommend "skilled" for everyone as one of their traits.

nothing other than the intuitive choices - strength, vitality for fighter, maybe some dex too, dex for anyone who will be doing less armor and more evasion (though remember, dex has NO effect on ranged weapons like bows, unlike many other fantasy games), willpower for magic users
