Black Crypt Mod

Post by zapibranigan »

Hi,

it's my very first post there : I'm a huge fan of black crypt, it was one of my first games on Amiga, and Grimrock's editor is just a perfect tool to try to recreate this atsmosphere :)

So : my first goal is to make the first two levels of BC.

Yesterday, i've downloaded the GR's editor, and already done level 1. I'll try to finish level 2 tonight, and publish it, so you'll be able to test it and told me how you like it (or not ^^)

Thanks for your reading!

Arthur (from Paris, please excuse my poor english :P)

Dont watch! Play! Just run it under Win95-XP, or use Dosbox. Link: http://sweb.cz/Retrogaming/Down/Crypt.zip. Its only demo. Level one and two. Full PC version does not exist. For full game you need amiga emulator or amiga ;-) its one of the best!

I personally didn't like it due to lack of strafing, seemed really old fashioned and somewhat silly when you bare in mind that practically every other DM Clone allows it. Still with this mod you will finally be able to strafe! :D

Daniel, by straffing you mean walk laterally left or right without changing your direction? Because in my memories, straffing was possible in Black Crypt!! :)

strafing usually refers to "sidestepping while fighting"

Guys I completely misremembered I was thinking of Stonekeep! Black Crypt was of course awesome and you could strafe just fine in it. Sorry!
