fireball trap

Post by sazyanti »

so i built a corridor with a series of short side hallways. put a silent pressure plate at the start of the corridor and linked them to spawners set to spawn fireballs. the classic flaming corridor trap.

When i try to preview it. The created shuts down. no errors, nothing. When i try to relaunch it says its still running. I have to wait for about 5 minutes before i can restart and try again.

Anyone else seeing odd issues similar?

:::Update:::

So it appears to be an issue with more than one spawner. When i try with just a single spawner per pressure plate it works fine. as soon as I add a 2nd spawner to the same plate it crashes.

Having multiple spawners works OK in here. Could it be an issue with some specific spawner?

You can probably get rid of the editor that runs silently in the background by stopping the grimrock.exe process using the task manager (ctrl + shift + esc)

so any spawner without an activation will make a crash? Maybe there could be some test, so the editor checks and gives a warning or something before running the map

I tried it out and it seems to work fine: it results in a warning that is printed on the console. If anyone can find reliably reproducible crash with these, please let us know. :)
