It's a good idea but something we haven't had time to think through yet. We're trying to stay focused and release this beast asap, meaning we're hesitant to add new features at this point... Besides once the tools are released there will be plenty of feature requests and crazy ideas, so we need to sort them out and see which are feasible.

Fair enough! Maybe something for the future then. :)

And you are right ! While there are many features I would love to see. Getting the beast out should be the main focus. That said, will we be able to add an intro and ending (with still images and text) to the dungeon ?

Yes, you can do cinematics with Lua scripting.

Allthough were are restless and impatient and desperatly awaiting the release of the editor I encourage you to take your time to release this baby as good as possible.

There is nothing as frustating as an BUG infested release.

I love you guys for making this remake so only cancelling the release of this editor could actually piss me off a bit toward you guys ;)

user created content is a powerful tool that can make or break a game. If it's well implemented, it potentially gives an almost infinite replay value and some of the user created content have the potential to be even better than the original dungeon ! Which will be hard to do, but if it's done, then the game truly shine.
this statement says it all, its what modding is about

the ability to play a game over and over and not get bored because you can always go back and try a NEW dungeon created by fans of the game

its why this editor is gathering so much attention, it will change this game COMPLETELY

Indeed I played NWN2 loads thanks to so many well made fan adventures.

Indeed, that's part of why there are so many "Thief" fans after all these years, due to high quality fan made levels that sometimes rival the original game!

Hey, nice to see a fellow from ttlg. Yeah, I fell in love with Grimrock and really look forward to the editor, maybe helping out with some tutorials or stuff like that. I think it will breathe a bunch of new life into the game!
