Have you considered using the steam workshop for user content support?

Indeed. I wish people would stop promoting DRM. Which Steam is.
A big fan might set up a website to hold all our future mods. We'll have to wait and see. :)

So we all agree Theis does it. He's a pretty big fan IMO.

It's Thels, and I don't really have the resources available if it gets anywhere big.

Someone suggested http://nexusmods.com/ , which seems like quite the appropriate page. There's a thread about Grimrock on there:

I have a dedicated server which isnt doing a lot and Im a php developer(Alas I can't design for toffee) so if someone can come up a design Im more than willing to code it in my spare time and also host it.

BTW I'm loving the progress with the editor, I cant wait to try it out :D

for my part, I'm not able to make anything in 3d, except cubes and there is already a cube in this game

if someone makes a monster (example) can I import it in my custom dungeon? (maybe it's the function of an asset, but I don't know that thing) and use it simply? could it be added to the list in the editor?

That's a good question. I think that most modelers (unless they explicitly state their work is a modder's resource, or that they'd just like credit when used) would not want their models to appear in every other mod. However it's not really enforceable except (possibly) on sites like Nexus or Steamworkshop, where they have reported mods as rip-offs and even removed them for it. In general, if you release a mod you have to expect a certain amount of re-use.

I would expect there to be publicly usable 3d monsters for this game once enough modelers start putting them out there; but I would think just about everyone would at least want a credit in the mod that their work was used in, if it's distributed.

** This changes if there is a tool used to import the model... in that case if it's AHG's tool, then they will probably reserve use of the content ~and might make it publicly usable in mods for their game. Who knows? I am just guessing about this.

If the monster creator is happy to share then yes! :P
