Dungeon Shopping
Dungeon Shopping
I think you should incorpriate a dungeon shop similar to the one in Dungeon Master 2 Skullkeep, reasons:
- It would put a whole new factor to LoG making it more fun
- Having not only find weapons you can buy them making game complition slower a bit slower
I hope that you could incorpriate this but its of course up to you, Congratulations on reaching Alpha , just hoping the editor will be out sometime soon.
Thank You , Josh

That post is about selling user-created content online. Josh-99 is talking about an in-game economy and virtual shop for in-game items.leewroy wrote:viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2754
I'm in favor of this too. Actually, it's one of the suggestions I made for possible new features.Josh-99 wrote:I think you should incorporate a dungeon shop similar to the one in Dungeon Master 2

This is very good suggestion. I'm in favor of it too. If this has been incorporated, anybody please let me know. Many thanks.

Re: Dungeon Shopping
That's food of thought for a sequel IF - and that's a very large if - Almost Human plans to go the route DM2 headed. As long as LoG is a single dungeon game like the original Dungeon Master there is no need for a shop.
Re: Dungeon Shopping
A sequel would have to involve more environments including outdoors.
With that said.. I could see shops in maybe towns or around the world or even random dungeons / caves / castles w/e.. Yeah I dream Big hehe.
I think the biggest thing the OP of this thread is wanting is more NPC interaction and I don't blame them.

Re: Dungeon Shopping
Brilliant suggestion! So many old dungeon crawlers have this, somehow I forgot that

This is a terrible idea. Having shops in dungeon crawlers makes it too easy to replace good dungeon design and puzzle elements with grind, loot, and a sort of accountant-like fascination with equipment stats. Go and get yourself some good spreadsheet software instead.

Uh, Might and Magic says hello. Good dungeon design and shops don't count each other out.Goffmog wrote:This is a terrible idea. More varied areas would be my ideal too, but I just hope there will be a sequel. Maybe Almost Human is tired of the genre and wants to do something else for a change?
Re: Dungeon Shopping
I was just reading the grimrock manual and looking at the map. The manual talks about overcrowded port cities and undergroud insectoid cities. Wouldn't it be cool to explore that map and see those cities?
