Complete Armor Sets?
Complete Armor Sets?
Quick question: Does it give you an special extra bonus if you collect all pieces of a set of armor of the same type and put them all on?
I am asking, because I have almost all parts of the Chitin armor and consider throwing them away in favor of losing weight and owning better armor pieces.

Re: Complete Armor Sets?
If you play over Steam, you get an achievement for finding all the pieces, though I'm not sure if you need to carry them with you. Other than that, there are no bonuses for completing a set of armor.
The chitin set is pretty nice, though. It's light armor, but better and lighter than the ring mail "set", which is actually heavy armor, and it takes a while to complete the plate "sets".

Hmm, I think I'll go back to where I dropped the Chitin pieces and reconsider my decision. Thank you for the quick reply!
Edit: Silly me! Of course I had kept the Chitin armor all along, it was a different armor I left behind. I mean, who on Earth would want to get rid of a light armor with such stats in the first place, hello?! *lol*

Re: Complete Armor Sets?
I did eventually drop it. There is the Valor set, as well as two complete plate sets (though it requires 2 golden keys to access both non-valor plate legs), with higher protection stats than Chitin. Of course the regular plate sets are only slightly higher in protection and a lot heavier, so you might want to stick to Chitin if you find yourself barely able to carry your gear.
One of my fighters needed the Strength from the Pit Fighter Gauntlets to be able to wear four slots of the plate armor, cloak, necklace, bracers and the shield of elements. Glad she wasn't wearing a weapon, as it would've put me over the weight limit. She could only carry like 3 notes in her backpack before she got overburdened.

*LOL* Yeah, realism can be quite a bit of pain in a role-players behind. You gotta love, though, heh heh.
@ anyone: If one of you guys and gals happen to know for sure whether one has to carry a complete set with oneself to gain the title, please let me know.

I was recently checking out stats on one of my old save games, which happened to be right outside a treasure room that had a complete set of plate in it. I unlocked the door, grabbed the gear, equipped the plate on a character without the "heavy armor" skill (who was so encumbered he couldn't move), and laughed as the Steam achievement popped up.
Goromorgs freak me out.
Re: Complete Armor Sets?
Okay, but did any of the other characters carry the remaining pieces of the plate armor set with them?Brude wrote:I was recently checking out stats on one of my old save games, which happened to be right outside a treasure room that had a complete set of plate in it. Re: Complete Armor Sets?
Just for everyone's information: You do have to carry all the pieces of a complete armor set in your party in order to achieve the armor set's Steam Achievement title. I learnt the hard way.
So I assume that goes for Toorum's Notes as well. Dang...
