POLL! Its TIME FOR MULTI LANGUAGE

Post by alien5ive »

After paying for this Masterpiece and playing a while, i want to start a Poll for

"MULTI LANGUAGE" Support :!:

On many Sites in the whole Web, Gamer and Coder talking about Tools that people created to edit the game in their own language. (i am also in translating progress to "German" for my Wife)

why don't add the DEV Team a Language Selector into the Installer? This isnt a hard work.
We have to decompile all the *lua Files, to find the Text Elements because it's widely scattered all over the Game Files.

I have no Problem with "only UK" but there are many gamers out there wanna play this game in their Language.

Why should this job do the Gamer and not the Dev Team? This is a lil poor. :?

C'mon Guys please give us a feedback.

My believe in this Game is: Multilanguage = Multi selling. This Game is worth every Cent.

Regards

A5

You are right. Today "MULTI" means something else than in our Days back in the 90ies.
MULTI was always MULTI LANGUAGE.
FIXED :)

There is much more important stuff than multi-language.
And in a agame with this little text anyway you can always use a dictionary if there is some words you don´t understand.

English is common enough for most people and just be glad that it isn´t done entirely in finnish, now THAT would make it much harder! :D
... shoot to thrill!

Well, still, it would be recommendable to place all the lines of text together in one Lua, and have the other Luas point to an entry in the text Lua. That way it should be easier to simply use different Luas for different languages, without having to make copies of all the data files.

I think ENG is ok for games where users is over 8 years old.

If I had finnish languge games in my past then I think my english studies would be litle harder and at this day all communication would be litle or much harder

Now english is almost status for common language. (All datasheets, Specifications and some other documents in technology is written in english.)
Also you have to use english when working in multisite companies. The company where I work uses english in all documents and about 1/3 communication is in english.

Sorry, but I feel the urge to support a Finnish translation of the game the way you wrote this post.
