Expansion? Or Sequal?
Expansion? Or Sequal?
Is there any plans for an expansion of sequal to LoG?
I enjoyed the absolute <bleep> out of this game. I have played MMO's since EQ and nothing has engaged me as deeply as LoG has. It was fun, the story was good, and the battles were epic! The puzzles were puzzling, and just enough hints in game to figure out all sorts of stuff on your own. Once I understood the 'rune' words for my mage, the game became that much more fun! However, I still call them 1-9.
Or are the 'sequals' just going ot be player made content. And if so...where is teh dungeon editor. I'd like to get started!

It is a great game. The editor is still in the works hopefully we will get an update on it tomorrow on the blog site. As far as a sequel goes I would hope so the game map is huge. There HAS to be other dungeons laying around those cities and forest, but for now it will be user created.
And who knows maybe AH will slip a new dungeon in there sometime when we aren't looking, fingers crossed.

The FORCE is with me!!!
Re: Expansion? Or Sequal?
I think they can get far with multiple sequels or expansion simply by using the groundwork they've already done and expanding the game systems. Just looking at the old-school tile crawlers there's a lot of stuff to draw on. Toolsets like the dungeon editor AH is working on is also a major proponent for creating a strong community around the games. It's a win-win situation for us as long as we support AH by using it and buying their stuff. And why the Hell wouldn't we if AH keeps doing this stuff?
I can easily see several sequels getting done before people tire of this stuff.

26 hours of play (that's good for me), still unfinished and I've taken a long break from it.
I'd like expansion and sequel. But the community can do the expansion. let these guys knock out an upgraded sequel with improvements and so forth...

I'd take one of the four wooden clubs I was carrying and just bash open doors with it.

Re: Expansion? Or Sequal?
You can definitely start out on building puzzles and dungeon concepts... just get the good old pen and paper out!
Re: Expansion? Or Sequal?
Why Sequels, really? That should only be required if they want to redo core mechanics in the game.
If they want additional features to the game, why not add features to the game, rather than starting all over writing a game with more features?

Re: Expansion? Or Sequal?
Yes, but that would be expansions, right? As you might have noticed, you can already choose which dungeon you want to play when you start a new game (except it only has 1 option available).
Re: Expansion? Or Sequal?
Sequal doesn't have to be more 'features' but rather another story line.
I liked hunting for all of Toorum's notes, I wanted to see what happened to him, and I did...which litterally made me cry. Yes, I'm a woman and yes, I am sentimental. He was my guide and my inspiration.
I was just wondering if there were plans on a sequal (or expansion) that continued this story line, or if a new dungeon crawl with a new story-line would be developed.

I would wish more items, more traps, one new dungeon and of course: some new monsters
