Matt Chat covering Legend of Grimrock - www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVLWuBo4eRY

That channel is amazing, by the way. Anyone who appreciates oldschool games would surely enjoy the stuff he uploads.

Norwegian newspaper "VG" gives it 5 out of 6

http://www.vgtv.no/#!id=52270

For those who don't speak Norwegian, here are some key elements they liked;

- Very nostalgic, brings back a lot of good memories and expands them.
- A fresh breath into the genre, despite doing it "old school".
- Nice graphics.
- LoG Proves that a tile based RPG definitely works, even in 2012.
*- The "limited" movement makes the game somewhat scary, and compared it to Resident Evil in terms of bringing a nerve into the game.

*They clearly had some issues with the movement, but instead of slaughtering the game for it, it brought them an extra level of excitement. I take this one as a sign that they didn't read guides and walkthroughs before testing the game, as they clearly did not use the hit n' run tactic everybody that knows these types of games does.

Taking into consideration that these guys are easily pleased with games, I have to admit that I for once agree with mostly everything they said about LoG. Probably one of the best and most unbiased reviews they've ever given a game.

This month's UK Retro Gamer reviews Legend of Grimrock and gives it 92%, here's their summary:
Retro Gamer wrote:Beautifully crafted and a fitting tribute to a long-forgotten genre, Legend of Grimrock is perfect proof that games don't require huge budgets in order to suck you into them.
Retro Gamer wrote:Legend of Grimrock is an excellent tribute to a classic genre that most gamers seem to have forgotten. While it lacks originality, its pacing, selection of monsters and devious puzzles make it an excellent game in its own right. Oozing atmosphere and with plenty of neat surprises - you'll never forget your first earthquak - it's an important new addition to the genre.

Great game! 10/10 I enjoyed every single second while I was playing this game, it was just so amazing! I hope there will be expansions, or maybe just more dungeons from future updates? :)
