[SPOILERS] The end really ends?

Post by Lyverbe »

I finished the game last evening and was very deceived to see that, once you beat the final encounter, the game really ends.

What if I wanted to find the remaining treasures (I only have 3/7)? and what about the 3 locked doors on the final level (I have the keys but had no time to open them)?

Is there some way to cheat to teleport to a cell in the map? or walk though the door that leads up? I would really like to keep going.

Yes there is cheat that allows you to teleport, quite complex though!

First enable your console,

viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1982

Then open the developers map (F11) pressing t will teleport you to where the cursor points.

If you still have it I would recommend you go back to a save shortly before you put in the last piece of the cube.

I only have 2 personal saves and the autosave. If I knew the game would simply quit once the final encounter is dead, I would have saved a game for sure.

I'll try the console thing tonight

I had a hard time making it work because you forgot to tell me about activating the "Developer mode" (viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2525&p=26130&hilit=f11#p26122)

I'm out of the level and can now continue. Thanks :)

So I went back to the beginning (where the game begins) and keep searching for missed treasures or unpushed wall buttons. I was stunned to see that I had miss a single button on Level 8 that unlock a huge portion of the map. The mapper(s) must have worked so hard on that section that I'm surprised that it's all hidden by a single button. I knew I had missed something (it's the "Vault of the Dismantler" door) but I didn't know how to get there.

6/7 treasures found. Only 1 to go!

Actually, there's 2 entrances to level 8, and the "regular" entrance" only gives access to a very small part of the level leading straight down to level 9.

However, one of the things you can find on this tiny level is a scroll that shows you exactly where on level 7 the hidden door is that leads to the "secondary" entrance on level 8 that makes the entire level available to you.
