I have these dropped arrows in separate pile, never used them either.
BTW: do I understand correctly that they are changing to normal type ones after proper use and need to be enchanted to gain bonus again?

I normally fire all the magic ones I got first, to turn them into regular arrows. Then I just keep all my arrows as regular arrows, unless an important fight is coming up, in which case I enchant them up front.

Yes Lex if you fire an enchanted arrow/quarrel it is not enchanted any longer and has to be re-enchanted. Also, if you are still holding a particular type in your hand say fire, then you will have to pick the regular ones back up. You only auto-retrieve what you are currently holding, this is the same with thrown weapons.

Also, if you have one type of enchanted arrow/quarrel you re-enchant it as something else you don't have to fire them all first.

Also, your arrows only revert to normal if you actually hit something. If it falls on the ground without hitting something, or bounces against the wall, it'll stay enchanted.

I've never used arrows, as I always had a crossbow, so I can't tell how many arrows are there in total (ditched them at a couple of staircases).
I'll count them on my next run, though.

For every game total number of arrows can be different as they can be dropped from monsters also, not just found (or maybe you think about counting these to be found only?).PSY wrote:I'll count them on my next run, though.

And the Skeleton Archers drop Frost Arrows. If you don't fire them, they will remain the same. Basic arrows should always be a fixed total.

1. All monsters that can drop arrows are killed and looted
2. Same difficulty level (I assume there are different numbers of monsters on each difficulty)
Can't recall how they appeared on the list. Maybe I jumped down a pit or took a backdoor. I guess I'll have to go through all notes on levels 4-6...
