Ah the game I couldn't recall is Space Rangers 2, it's on special on GOG this weekend in fact. :)

I've written two, one called "Flat" and another called "Janitor" (actually, Janitor was a joint effort with a friend). Janitor placed 5th in ifcomp 2002.
