Can't get through door on 1st level?

Hi there, just started an easy game and when I stand on the pressure pad the door opens but I can't get through the door fast enough. Is this a bug or is there something wrong with my PC?

Just leave something on the pressure plate so there is weight even when you do not stand on it?

It seems as though you've found a puzzle!

Leave something on the pressure plate. Drag and drop stuff on the ground.

Hi Disasterrific,

There are a lot of puzzles in the game involving pressure plates, I seem to recall to solve this one you just drop a rock on it or something?

Hmm wait a minute you have a 134 posts on this forum several seem to indicate you have got much further into the game than this. Were you able to complete this puzzle previously?

Oh I got past it before but this time it seems a lot harder.

I presume this is something to do with your other thread?

At the very first pressure pad you could throw all items in the 1st level through the door.

1st level again - you could put all your items including the key to progress in the alcove on the other side of the first pit.
