seebs wrote:Oh, sorry about that. That is a FEATURE of the code: If there is already a file named "Console.lua", the extractor refuses to overwrite it.

You can remove it, or edit the code.

If you get that message when there isn't already a file named that, then I have no clue what's up. :)
Thank you so much! I also removed the file and it worked! :)

New to these forums, hello all.

Following the instructions from Darklord, I;

Installed Python.
Ran grimrock_console.py in command prompt.
Loaded game, muted music, pressed shift+~, and voila, console! Worked first time.

Thanks, people. (Now off to compile item list...)

Can anybody post a video for this? That's much easier for me to follow.

I don't know anything about making videos, but if anyone else wants to have a go, feel free!

Bare in mind,

So obviously the standard disclaimer applies here: we don't take responsibility if you manage to wipe out your filesystem by executing a malicious script with it.
Not to offend (as not everyone has an IT background of course) if you are still struggling with the simplified instructions, it could be best to stay away. Others will eventually create mods that allow you to add skill points and such, which may be better for the less tech savvy, as there is less risk of your computer being wrecked.
