(SPOILER) Maps out of the "mapeditor" / Question

Post by quicksaver »

I made screenshots of the maps in the ingame mapeditor and posted them on my blarg. Is that okay or do you consider this a no go. They are just screenshots but I just want to be absolutely safe.

Another thing I would like to do is extracting the whispers that you can barely hear between the ambient sound from level 1-4(?). If I could actually accomplish that, would it be then okay to make those extracted whispers alone public? I like to believe they are not just gibberish! :)

Are you sure you don't mean the automap function?

nah, those are from the mapeditor. It can be activated through the console which itself can be actived by black magic which is described in the thread here in this forum.

Very interesting, I "think" these are ok, as they are effectively screenshots of the maps, which is fine.

These are quite spoilerific of course so I'll add the spoiler tag to your post. :)

Interesting points:

Level 2
That extra block in the top left - I presume it's to do with the programming of the puzzle... in order for the items to go round correctly, you need to remove one to start with move them all around and then put it back in the final place. The teleporters are actually fake and don't do anything.

Level 4
Extra teleporters in random locations... no idea on that!

Level 5
Nothing behind that rockfall? There's one square there - maybe some items etc.? Has anyone used no-clipping or something to take a look here? I reckon there's a chance the devs hid something here.

Level 6
Again extra teleporters... maybe they're related to programming for character facing in the teleporter maze?

Level 7
Room with switch at the top. Something related to the toggle for the opening and closing pits?
Funny that the spaces in front of the torches in the shadow maze (which you can't get to) aren't coded to teleport you out.

Level 11
No hidden areas? Was hoping for an easter egg...

Level 12
More teleporters...

Some interesting stuff on spawn locations throughout...
