I'll add my comment as well in support.

You perfectly duplicated the old dungeon-crawler style, and improved it. most other game companies tend to go with what's safe, what's modern and utilize user-interface accepted norms for popular or high-grossing games - you recreated old-school so perfectly, that it's actually revolutionary compared to games released since 2004 or so.

Well played, sirs, well played.

The game's deffo not bad... it doesn't triumph Eye of the Beholder but the only thing in the world that could would probably be an eye of the beholder remake... that said there are some descent games out there and I'm not going to pretend LoG, regardless of how much I love the genre, beats it all.... but it's defenately a good game :)

Just finished the game and all I can say is I loved every bit of it. A lot of attention was put on every aspect of the game and it shows off. Loved averything about it, the puzzles, the combats, the atmosphere, the UI, the story and lore behind Grimrock... everything. I haven't enjoyed a game so much in years. Im with Krulz, I want MORE! Lore, dungeons, you name it.

Congratulations Almost Human for such a masterpiece.

Looking forward to more of them- I'm really glad the team's first project was a success, I can't wait to see what they have to offer in the future, and what kind of wonders the Dungeon Editor will bring. :)

Well EOB had the advantage of a much longer lead time than LoG, all I can say is I can't wait to see where Almost Human goes with it, expansions/sequels are going to be exciting! :P

Amen to the OP.

I stumbled upon LOG on Steam and bought it 4 hours later after the gameplay video haunted me and stuck in my head. I was an avid fan of Eye of the Beholder, Lands of Lore, Anvil of Dawn and other games like this, and I had not realized how much I missed them until LOG.

THANK YOU, Almost Human, for taking a long dead and simple gameplay mechanic and bringing it back for the modern generation. LOG is a wonderful work and is one of the most memorable "pure gameplay" experiences I have had in over a decade. You definitely have loyal fan in me and I look forward to what comes next.

I am dying for the editor! I hope this will one day replace Neverwinter Nights as the most persistent application on my PCs.

Oh, and one this I forgot to mention- THANK YOU for putting in that life crystal mechanic!
I think I said it in your blog once- it's one of my favorite types of game mechanics.

It really raised the pressure and enxiety when moving through the levels- "Should I progress a bit more, or should I run back to the previous level where it's safe? Am I hearing that faint sound of a new crystal nearby? Oh, sweet sweet salvation!"

Love it. It may be a relatively simple thing, but it made the game that much better for me. :)

Thank you very much Almost Human staff for reincarnating the Dungeon crawling genre.

I was a kid when I watched my brother play Dungeon Master on his Atari ST. At the age of 12(1992) I got his Atari ST and managed to finish the game, but it was an epic struggle I can tell you that! Actually if I remember correctly I wasn't able to kill the endboss and gave up.

I came back though. I've replayed DM and later Chaos Strikes Back(which is pure genius and very very hard!)atleast 2 times. Last time must've been atleast 8 years ago.
Then my brother, yes the one I was watching play DM(he is 14 years older) send me an e-mail with a link to this game. After watching the trailer I directly bought the game on GOG.com(which is a brilliant site!) and started right away.

The following 10 days my gf wasn't very happy with me. Awesome work guys!

I'm looking forward to the mods and DLCs.
