Just made a team, and checking some skills I decided the following:
Minotaur - Fighter
Reptile - Dagger Rogue
Reptile - Bow Rogue
Insect - Mage
BUT!
Bow rogue attack is modified by STR.
Dagger rogue attack is modified by DEX.
Assasination 3rd skill is attacking from the back with melee, so dagger goes in the back
And archer goes in the front, with evasion
Is it me or it's the opposite as it should be?
Wait... what?

Re: Wait... what?
- You need strength to pull back a bow. STR increases ALL weapons damage in this game.
- DEX increases accuracy, not damage.
- The Reach Attack assassin skill is not the main attraction for a dagger rogue (unless you have two fighters in the front) - Backstab is.
- It does not matter a whole lot which of the rogues you put into the front once you have reach attack - just pick the one with good survivability

Re: Wait... what?
All damage is based on Str (attack), not dex. (dex is only for accuracy / evasion.)
As for how to set up your party, dagger rogue can only go in the back if you plan on speccing into assassination AND dagger.
Functionally speaking, A rogue using Daggers and Bows will have the same level of evasion, but a dagger rogue can also use a shield, which means they will likely be better in the frontline. (Both daggers and bows give dex, which gives evasion.)
It should be noted that it's kind of silly that missile weapons buffs dex, which has almost zero benefit for a back row rogue, as dodge is (mostly) useless for them, and arrows never miss.

Sort of true. STR is much more useful for back row missile rogues, that's kinda weird.Hachi wrote: It should be noted that it's kind of silly that missile weapons buffs dex, which has almost zero benefit for a back row rogue, as dodge is (mostly) useless for them, and arrows never miss.
Re: Wait... what?
While true, largely irrelevant. I mean, we have spell skills buffing str and dex, which is really weird. The benefits of missile weapons, like the spell skills, is not the stat bonuses, but the inherent damage bonus. Missile weapons still deal more damage than thrown weapons even with the str bonuses in thrown weapons skill.BlueLegion wrote:Sort of true.
