Cant get passed "you will be hunted" room

I'm pulling my hair out here. I've been trying to get passed this room for 2 hours now. I've tried running through as fast as possible to the end, but I always get cornered and die, and I've tried going through slowly, but again, I get cornered by about 3 of them and die. I know they respawn in this room, which in itself I am very disappointed in, its a dungeon crawler, things shouldn't respawn.

How am I meant to get passed this? The only option I can see atm is restarting my game and leveling up an air mage to get the invisibility spell. But surely that cant be the answer.

Am I missing something?

This room is a bit tricky imo, as i see it, you can backtrack to the "infinite snail room" or the "Haunted Halls" section on lvl 6 (as far as i know, these are the only other places besides the Lizzard zone where mobs spawn forever) to farm a little bit more xp.... but i wouldn't recomend this since they'll give very LOW xp, so, you can try what i did: save before entering this infernal place, then, RUN, seriously just run like a mad man untill you reach the end and close the door behind you (you don't want those sneaky bastards to get your back when you go forward in this place).

It took me something like 4-5 trys to actually pass this place, guess i got the luck to have the way cleared of lizzards and none decided to block the square i was stepping to, at the time i got to this room, i could take them 1 by 1, even handed 2 at a time, but the trick is to keep moving and running, hope you make through that place!!!

After killing a bunch of this lizzards, one of them will drop a golden key, my advice: get throught this place, and then do it backwards (kill them from the end since you know where to run), oh, and you get a nice food supply too

Try and pull out just one of them and fight it in a corridor, there are only two spawn points so you'll have max two once you've killed a few. Save often!

thanks for the replies guys. I have managed to run all the way though twice and shut the door, but there were two lizards in that room too, and they killed me. How fast do these guys respawn? A few times I've managed to kill 3 and got the key, then tried to progress but get cornered everytime. I swear Im going to be having nightmares about these things tonight!

Ah well done! On the bright side you do get a lot of XP/food from them.

I saved after I killed every one, it's easier now we have a quick save of course!

Hah yeah! While reading that in the patch notes I almost danced for joy! :p

Just take it slow, pull and kill one at a time and don't worry about the respawn, it's perfectly possible to get the whole area clear for a while.

On my solo run I killed them one by one, either in the 2x2 area or kiting down the hallway. There were a lot but eventually you can clear them out. Once you're halfway through you've got enough room to dodge as you fight and from then on it's easy.

They do respawn? Well, that explains something.

Tbh I never had any problems. Isolate them, pelt them with arrows and a spell or two and they are easy as cake. I cleared the whole dungeon with only some reloads (was too thrifty to heal up beforehand, so one of my guys was at 10hp when I entered). So it might as well be that your party is not built very strong, which is something only a trainer or savegame editor can change at that point. Or a restart.
