Mod Team Theta - Official Thread

Post by Patch »

Ello there traveler,

Are you looking for adventure? Excitement? To get your hands on some glorious treasure? Well you’ve come to the right place!

We here at Team Theta have what you need!

We’re all really driven to take what the fine folks at Almost Human have given us, and build even more. We don’t see Grimrock as just a great game, but a platform on which to create even more great things.

Right now, we’re simply in the planning stages, as we wait for the modding tools to become available. Once they are released, and we have some sense of our limitations, we’ll whittle down our goals to be more realistic, put other things on the back burner for later, and scrap other things as they need to be scrapped.

We’ll keep this thread updated with our progress as we move along. And if you have any questions or comments, feel free to speak up!

Mod Team Theta - Meet the team

Meet the team

  • I’m a Seattle native in my 20s. I’ve been a nerd since before I knew what a nerd was. I’ve delved into the worlds of Fantasy, Scifi, Horror, and more. I’ve obsessed over video games, comics, books, movies, and pen & paper RPGs. I’m not a programmer, not yet an artist (school is so expensive >_<), and only an untrained writer. But I have a real passion for nerdity, and have a real desire to build even more on top of what Almost Human has given us. I’ve done writing for one game before, though the dev ended up not paying me for it, so I’m not going to plug it here. :P

  • I'm a New York writer and I'm in my 40s, so I was born before home computers existed. Yup. No internet, no MTV, no video games. Now, you kids get the hell off my lawn! The first game I wrote was for the TI-44/9a (it was a text adventure with original music called "Death In Harding House"). Since then I've done several things, including a solo ST:TNG conversion of Wolfenstein 3D, and maps for games such as Duke Nukem 3D and Quake. I love figuring out how to make game engines do things they weren't intended for, and I can't wait until you all see the freaky, creepy, exciting $%^! we're gonna throw your way!

Maybe you could make it so PC's can attack with shields?
Might only stun your enemies, unless you attack with a spiked shield.

My thoughts exactly. Shield bashing is an important skill. :)
