The 'patch' is 666.1mb. I'll report back if it's actually 1.1.4. [edit: Yes it is 1.1.4]
And yeah it doesn't really bother me if Steam is late with unlocking the pre-order and late with a patch but it's becoming a pattern with them and when you are consistently the last service/platform to get things in order then that speaks volumes.
As I said in the Steam forum thread: It isn't so much "grrr I want stuff now!" as it is people making a note of it and considering places like GOG for their next purchase.
