I have a stupid question.....

I have purchased two copies of this game. One for me and one for a friend. I downloaded the "goodies" and now have a question. I was my assumption that this was a big dungeon crawl. Like, Eye of the Beholder or DungeonHack or Ultima Underworld.......so assuming that I ask.. (and I mean no offense to anyone) Why is there a world map? I am assuming it is for the flavor and feel aspect... but just wondering.

You might ask the same question about the group photo of the team, or the graph paper template for a game that has an (optional) automap. It's there for flavor.

I know this speculation was inevitable, but since they went all the way to design and make a map for a WHOLE fantasy world, they should just use it in one of their future games.

I'd love to visit the town of Kalevala... so many references to classical literature.

Hey mrgrimm. There's no stupid questions, just stupid answers. The world map is for flavor. Some of the places are referenced in the game and we thought it would be nice to deepen the game world with a map.

To be more precise, OP go under the category of psychedelic 3rd generation black metal, the kind of which came up in the mid- and late 90s with bands like Ved Buens Ende, Fleurety or Dødheimsgard .

But now, enough about obscure music and back to topic .
