New monsters and other stuff to put in the custom levels

Post by Dragonkin »

So as I review my gametime with LOG, im kind of dissapointed in myself for not playing these
games sooner. Recently i played Lands of lore 1 just to get into the game and I found it quite pleasing.
I actually played past the mines and got to some amazones untill my eyes finally said enough.
In my gaming youth i was more drawn to Moonstone, shadow of the beast and stuff like that.

But now as I have finished LOG I find my self in the " I want to make my own dungeons" zone,
I thougt about making some new monsters as well, I have some skills as a modeler (or so I`ve
been told) but usually as soon As im done with the modeling part I Rush to animate or start a
new model. Texturing really aint my thing, its tedious and boring. :o
Any texture freaks here that can help with texturing if i decide to make some stuff??
And also would it even be possible?? It would be cool to get some goblins or orc`s
and even ogres. Maybe a floating sphere kind of monster with an all seeing eye. :D

I love where you're going! lol
I have no experience with modeling or textures...however, I've been designing maps since the mid 90's. Maybe we can set up a team?

AH! Wizard Eye ;)

Image

Have done it for long time as 3D-Mesh, textured (not UV, but..) and rendered it out as 2D-animationframes.
But not animated. And intended only for still render.
This was intended to used in a 2d dm-clone, but i failed to go on bcause of personal faiths.. :(

That looks great, but using it in a mod would worry me a little. It is very close looking to a Beholder (one of my favorite monsters), which is exclusively owned by Wizards of the Coast. :(
