Not wanting to upset anyone but I am not all that eager for a sequel to LOG. The reason being that I am not overly keen on the way AH design their dungeons. What I am looking forward to are user made dungeons. There are some people, that may not be computer programmers, but are exceptionally gifted when it comes to levels, scenarios and dungeons design. This is what I am looking forward to. :)

Character export and import.

Not something I have to have. But for a modding community it would be nice to be able to export my party and take them into other peoples content. This would also open the way to Modders to make episodic content.
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

when i hear "dragon", i think of cheesy D&D cartoony animals with no mystique left to them, just like Elves. fantasy is positively drowning in dragons and elves, and the very last thing a unique setting like LoG needs is to be associated with mainstream campy fantasy.

spiders can't be cliche any more than the existence of gravity and breathable atmosphere can. they may be commonly encountered creatures throughout fantasy and non-fiction, but that doesn't make them cliche. the tunnel ogres may be the closest thing to cliche in LoG, but they fall more on the side of the spectrum where spiders are. they aren't icons with a mainstream interpretation and mythos smothering them, and their appearance in the game is perfectly fine as valid monsters with no more importance than the others.

so no, the spiders and ogres in LoG are not cliche, but dragons would definitely be. there's a reason AH put in insectoids, minotaurs and lizardmen instead of elves, dwarves and halflings...

Glad to hear it! Don't forget the AH guys do read your posts, (in between all the great work they are doing!) and they will bare in mind what people like when they create updates/new dungeons.

I suspect given time they will create a medium most people will be very happy with. Just need to squash a few bugs first! :)

Oh and I personally love Dragons, I think most people do! :P

Yeah, me too! :D That was a classic gaming moment for sure, and it's been a while since anything genuinely made me jump in a game :)

Also, awesome choice of avatar :D Nicely done.

They definitely weren't dragons. Wyverns maybe, depending on the lore, but even that may be a stretch.

They were superbly well done weren't they? I loved that part of the game, especially as it came as a bit of a departure from the main dungon and a change of pace, you were suddenly teleported away there (by Dran I seem to recall) and had to find your way back to the dungeon proper. I think the dragon in DM was superb too though, it's not just how big or scary looking you make the monster, but how well you build it up too - scratches on the walls, piles of dust and bones, treasure strewn around and... oh God... Run!

all did agree with Dandy level editor would be the best things he would allow the Community to create his own dungeon to give free rein to their imagination and give it one last big game of life I have several level on paper ready to be done in the level editor once it is released ;)
