To those who have completed the game. [Major spoilers]

Well since he's in the "To those who have completed the game" Thread, I assumed by default that he has already progressed

Yes, what I meant was, if you *did* throw the red gem away, I don't think you can actually progress. Is that right, I can't quite remember that puzzle?

You can't get past the entrance to 10 without the gem. But it's right there anyway, you'd have to physically take it up a few floors, dump it, then come back and go "wut? i r stuck". The red gem is then needed for the iron door, which isn't required to progress on to 11+gambit37 wrote:Yes, what I meant was, if you *did* throw the red gem away, I don't think you can actually progress. That's probably the reason why its only accessible from the top of the mountain. But 1 thing that still puzzle me, why the whole mountain got destroyed in the end? and what caused it? From the looks of it, no one can survive from that blast

My theory is that those goromorg priests kept that cube alive yet imprisoned because it's death would cause such massive explosion and destroy the whole mountain. That would explain why those priests wouldn't kill the cube even tho' they had weapons to do so. Another theory is that priests kept that cube there to energize those blue crystals so they coud tap into their power, Toorum mentioned that he had seen similar crystals in the isle of Nex but they were dark and powerless. And yeah, even Toorum was wondering about the design of the dungeon, it's not supposed to keep prisoners in, it's supposed to keep everyone out.
I just love lore and history in games and I hope that if Almost Human ever makes expansion/sequal to LoG it would give some background information about that cube-thing and it's origins. In one of those dreams the cube mentioned that 'others (Goromorgs?) twisted Grimrock' and being a dungeon 'is not Grimrock's original purpose'. Lowest levels look like some huge machine, maybe it was built by the cubes for whatever reason, goromorgs then imprisoned the cube and built their temples above it and afterwards humans carved their own rouch tunnels atop those ruins.
Argh! Too much ifs and buts and speculation, c'mon AH, give us the truth!

I'm surprised at how many people interpret the cube as a race; I'd always imagined it being some sort of AI type thing

Hard to say if they are "sentient race" or machines built by some other folk. I know atleast that there are more cubes somewhere since the text in the weapon of power says "Long time ago, these weapons were used to fight and imprison the cubes". There really should be DLC/expansion with cube-dungeon where those things roll around the hallways.

I think my friend just found last secret. Has someone tried to sacrifice two times?

Sacrificing the pants it gives you is indeed a secret

Actually, I think you can sacrifice anything and it still gives you the secret, I remember using the Knife you first get on floor 1
