This is the forum for helping you out if you're stuck or if you want to discuss the nitty gritty details of the dungeons within Mount Grimrock. Warning: forum contains spoilers!
There are THREE +5 skill books you can acquire, as well as a +25% Exp necklace that will put one member of your party one or two levels higher than the others by endgame.
Fighter is probably better since you can easily get tons of evasion without dodge skill and you get more health which helps with magic and ranged attacks.
start with evasive/fist fighter lizard with max dexterity = 21 evasion
+10 dexterity from maxed unarmed combat = +20 evasion
Faster than Lightning perk from 30 point in unarmed = +20 evasion
Lurker set (4 items +5 evasion each) = +20 evasion
Valor shield = +10 evasion
Scaled cloak = +8 evasion
TOTAL = 99 evasion
that one percent chance is there to keep you from falling asleep during combat :>

Not much better really My rogue by end game had 83 evasion and I was not even really focused on any one skill tree I think 24 was the most I had in anything.
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue. My end game stats LoG 1st play through
I think I am willing to sacrifice evasive for agile, you will lose 3 evasion points if you have about 13 agile points already, but after you keep getting more dex points, it will compensate.
