My plan was to buy straight from the developers, and I nearly did, before I noticed that Steam was involved. So I opted for GOG. Sorry.

Did you already buy it?Dandy wrote:My plan was to buy straight from the developers, and I nearly did, before I noticed that Steam was involved. So I opted for GOG. Sorry.
Because they have a DRM-free version directly from the developers now.

You get a Steam AND a stand alone copy if you order direct from Almost Human, that's what this thread was created to tell you!Dandy wrote:My plan was to buy straight from the developers, and I nearly did, before I noticed that Steam was involved. So I opted for GOG. Sorry.
Don't worry though either way Almost Human get paid as Petri says here!

Is this the link mentioned where the download will be available on April 11th? I only received a mail from Humble Store after pre-ordering that contains this link (steam key and bonus pack there currently):petri wrote:in addition to the steam key you will get access to the standalone installer when the game is released on April 11th. You can get the installer on April 11th from the download page link that is mailed to you when you made the pre-order

Yes... You (The Developers)"charge" the account....long--- before the actual product----Is even actually "released".petri wrote:When you place the preorder and pay with a credit card, your credit card will be charged. Yeah...you answered...the question.
Re: NEWS: standalone version available through grimrock.net
That's kind of how preorders work... it's also why they are giving a discount for preorders (to reward early adopters). April 11th isn't exactly all that far in the future, but feel free to wait until then so you can be charged the full price.jaw69 wrote:Yes... Re: NEWS: standalone version available through grimrock.net
That's not how it works in most places . Like Amazon, if you pre-order, you don't pay until the product ships.Kthanid wrote:That's kind of how preorders work... it's also why they are giving a discount for preorders (to reward early adopters).
