it's easy when you have the shaman staff and your poison bolts leave behind a poison cloud, that way you can easily get their shields down from a distance and just 2x2 them later on.

its funny how they can open doors tho, that one made my day ;)

With Shaman Staff and Improved Poison Bolt, it's actually REALLY powerful, so I'd say it's worth it. I, too, am doing a

run and far too many things resist fire for my taste, so I'm not going fire.

I have my assassin throw a frost bomb then my mage puts down a poison cloud. FTW.

And they're on at least 4 floors.

But they are fairly easy to out maneuver and beat just hand your fire mage a spear or some rocks when it is time to fight one. While they are on a few floors they are rarely in large numbers. I believe the most I saw at once was 3.

not counting the boss fight which is a special case
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
My end game stats LoG 1st play through

We're mainly referring to the solo run, since the OP mentioned it. You only have one guy, and sacrificing half (or all) of his damage isn't worth it.

You know that Earth is resisted by several types of enemies? While for fire its just one mob.

If you want to see less resists, fire >>> earth by far.

Nah, only the very weak undead mobs are resistant to earth and the poison spitters (the mushrooms aren't). Late game is the important part, and a ton of those levels have fire resistant mobs. All the poison resistant ones are closer to the easier floors. Though I haven't tested it on the wasp type guys, so maybe those are too. But they have no health and hit like girls, so I wouldn't worry.
