Sales Statistics

Post by Greco »

Petri, Will you post any sales statistics before/after the game is launched? For example number of pre-orders, units sold, etc? Many would like to know such statistics since they constitute a measure of the the game's success, you success also, and most importantly the revived gender's success, which is important for us, the gamers, since it will considered also as an indicator on whether a sequel will be developed!

The sales numbers are unfortunately covered by NDAs.

Still, I'd like to hear after some time, if the sales were enough to keep them afloat, or better.

Sure, it should be ok to comment on general level. We are not allowed to post exact sales data, however.

Come on guys. It's their prerogative and choice. It is totally understandable. For various reasons. In my store I never discuss the deals I make for fear of "bad luck", only after I fulfill the delivery and cleared payment. I am sure when the time comes, all the boys from Almost Human they'll be happy to share the results of their bold move with their supporters. Now it's just too soon. 8-)

EDIT - I firmly believe in the near future we'll read about LoG's success on other sites , too. :)

It's a standard clause in pretty much every digital distribution agreement.

i'm just asking, because i'm a developer myself and it does not really make sence to me. But if steam&co does not want the companys to tell the selling counts thats ok. It would be interesting why they do not want that. But i think we have to ask steam and not AH ;-)

anyway, looking forward to play the game on 11.4

Edit:
ok found a statment from valve
