I have a rogue who has been concentrating mostly on assasination and daggers, and a mage who has been concentrating on ice skills..So i am wondering what is more valuable to me..Crossbow, Tome of Fire, or maybe I'll just take the pile of herbs..although I really am not running very low on potion ingredients..lol.
I guess since none of them are real valuable because of my builds, I will take the Tome, since it also adds Fire resistance.
Treasure room on level 6
Re: Treasure room on level 6
I think you could save the golden key for a later level. There is another treasure room where there are at least 2 good items (skill-tome and poison resistance bracelet).

The gold keys will indeed work in any gold lock.
Re: Treasure room on level 6
I haven't tested this myself, but having a gold key right away might make the Fighter's Challenge a bit easier.

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
