Started over...missing the bow

Is there a crossbow on Lvl 3 ? I thought I'd been everywhere
And there are slimes on level 3 ?

I was about to descend down to level 4...

urk - this game is too addictive

It's a secret passage to a separate part of level 4, actually. You might need to come back at a higher level to kill the slimes, though.

Ya just tried it, those things will kill you, quickly. I wasn't even able to take down one by backtracking all the way to the stairs.

Wait, there's an crossbow down there? All I found was a door with script and a head on the wall that I couldn't open (tried a few different items, etc, no go) and the slimes. Is the door openable without going through the slimes?

If its the door that says feed me...nope. For that one you have to kill the slimes =)

Even after reading all of these I still can't find the bow, but I'd like to contribute by saying the slimes at the crossbow are well doable before finishing the 4th level. I've done all of level 4 apart from the time and tide since afaik I'll need a projectile weapon for that, and my party is around level 7 - 8. Using a longsword, hand axe, legionary spear and fireburst as weapons I can take down one or two slimes in one run before having to get back to the lifestone and revive my casualties. Just need to strafe a lot and when attacking attack with all four party members at the same time, since they appear to have a fairly low evasion alongside their high health and damage, so you can often keep them stunned through your 4 blows and long enough for you to strafe out of harm's way.
