If that's the place I think it is, you need to put some stuff on the shelf (from where you took the key)

The key you took needs to be replaced with something else (i used a burnt out torch) then the door opens again.

I thought as well I was stuck, I also tried droping an item in here, but I thought I didn't hear any door opening so I took the item back and started to look for a hidden button again
