On level 12 there are 3 locked doors, each of them having a keyhole next to them. I searched around the bottom 3 levels and couldn't find any sort of key that fit (golden key only worked in the supply room). I also finished the game with 68/71 secrets and I imagine those 3 rooms were the ones I was missing. I'd really like to know what's behind these doors, even if it is just random supplies.
afaik from reading the forums, the keys drops randomly from the simple monsters during the boss fight. though when i was doing it the first time i ran around like crazy and didn't actually bother myself with simple monsters. atm going through second time to see if it's true or not

Hmmm...I have a save from during the fight so I could try it out, though killing any of them aside from the bugs is a pain. I ended up killing quite a few as they were getting in my way though I didn't stop to check for loot. I'll check it now and post my findings in a few minutes.
Yep, the keys do seem to drop from monsters during the fight and the rooms contain various items to help fight the boss (lightning bombs, health pots, lightning rod). Unfortunately, those rooms don't seem to give any credit for secrets so apparently I missed a few other locations. Oh well, not a big deal. I'm pretty sure I got all of the best weapons and I definitely got all 7 treasures, that's good enough for me.
