D3DError / Error_BAD_EXE_FORMAT

Post by gorgefodder »

Hi guys and girls,

I'm having trouble even getting Grimrock to launch, it goes black screen and then crashes out with this window:

I have tried the fix suggested in an earlier thread by forcing resolutions and window/borderless but that doesnt seem to work.

http://pastebin.com/F62LbELx <- This is what my Config currently says.
http://pastebin.com/Fz8WZ9qK <- And this is my DxDiag Config.

I have done:
-Updated graphics drivers
-deleted and redownloaded LoG from Steam
-tried reinstalling DX but it says that i have the latest version
-tried compatibilty modes XP SP3 and Vista SP2

The ERROR_BAD_EXE_FORMAT seems to relate to my PC misreading it as 32bit/64bit getting it wrong, i have tried compatibility but again it doesnt seem to like it.
Im really frustrated because I can sense I am going to lose hundreds of hours to this game. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
