Is food consumption move based or time based
Is food consumption move based or time based
Just wondering if I am consuming a lot of food just sitting there drawing my map, equipping my characters, leveling up, and reading notes.

Re: Is food consumption move based or time based
Since hunger degrades quicker when resting, I'm guessing there's a time based element to it.
Re: Is food consumption move based or time based
I think it's move-based AND time-based. I just started a new game to run some tests. On my first game I was drawing the maps myself so I took a long long time on each level. On the second one I rushed levels because I already knew them, and I was really surprised that I had to eat in like 10 min of play.
I guess if you idle you just consume less food than if you move. I think it was implemented this way to avoid characters starving to death while drawing

I actually think you only use "hunger" to regenerate life.
Not totally sure but im pretty sure it doesnt degrade while being idle and full of life .

I noticed that regenerating HP indeed uses up food meter.
My backrows who rarely get hit use much, much less food than front row.

This is an interesting theory and this is ... partialy right!flex12 wrote:I actually think you only use "hunger" to regenerate life.

Just made the test and idled for like 15 minutes (with all party full health an energy), the bars didn't move at all. But i took a few steps around and the bars fall down a little bit.
So this is only move-based (except when you're regenerating & resting).

Ok thanks...that is good. I was hoping being idle did not consume food.Myeka wrote:This is an interesting theory and this is ... partialy right!flex12 wrote:I actually think you only use "hunger" to regenerate life.

Yes, it seems that every action will slightly reduce your food bar. Regenerating health or energy counts as "action" for this purpose.
So if you 'R'est with 2 members at full, those 2 members will not lose any food during the rest.
