Level 7 Iron Door...

Post by Darklord »

Come on, am I missing something, or do I need to have god like reflexes to do this?!

I can play and beat a FPS just fine but this seems to have been designed for gods or something? Can we not make these these just slightly easier on normal? I've tried like 50 times now...

Not happy...

And yes I know I don't need whatever is behind the door...

If anyone has any tips to help defeat the damn thing, please share!

Daniel.

I REALLLLLY enjoyed this one myself :)

Try not to react but to memorize the shots. You have to think about your next move while you're doing your current move (I don't know if I make myself clear :? ).

For example, let's take this:

123

_Y_
456

1,2 and 3 are where the shots come from, Y is you, and 4,5,6 are the holes. You should be looking toward 2.
If 1 fires, you strafe left. While you strafe, look at the others. If 3 is shooting while you're strafing in front of 1, juste memorize it and think about "once i've block the first, I have to strafe right twice".
When it becomes harder, just try to memorize the pace and the move ("left, right, right, left, etc") while you're doing this.

To sum up, focus on your next move while you're moving, and you should beat it!

That's the trouble, well into the sequence there is a left I can just make then a right, I cannot get to the right one in time, I know it is coming, but no matter how fast I press that button it gets past me...

I don't mind memory puzzles, but if the reactions required to compete it aren't possible for someone in their 30's that's bloody annoying! (and yes I'm sure others my age can do it, I guess everyone has different reaction speeds)

I'm 28 and I did it the first time so I'm sure you can make it too.

The last sequence is really fast and you don't have time to stand on a tile. If 1 fires while you're at 3, then 3 fires after 1, just go in front of 1, and immediatly when you stepped there go in front of 3. Just don't wait to see the shot disapear.

Edit: I'll try to reload a late saved game and put a video of it so you can see the pace.

OMG I did it! Your tip about not waiting helped, I tried moving slightly before it had disappeared and maanged it. Phew, thanks for the help. :D

Incidentally it was the final 2 blasts I couldn't stop as well, I was so close so many times...

I'm 30 and I got it on the first try... not bragging just stating a fact. It really wasn't that hard, just never stop moving once the things start flying. Rest for a second and you lose.

It took me at least 30 tries to get this done... It was fun, but im seriouslly considering doing it again on further playthroughs. The last two shots are just too far apart in distance and too short in time from one another, making it the "Rubicon" on being "Reflexive" (how i play) and being "Proactive" (by anticipating to enemies/situations)

the sequence is always the same. Always go back to the middle, and maybe reduce graphic options.

Make sure none of your party members are encumbered with a snail icon in the upper left of their portrait as well. Characters will not physically be able to move fast enough if any of your members are weighed down.
