Or make a training level, where there are simple easy to kill monsters and easy puzzles to train movement and combat.

Re: Very easy mode
Here is a way to make the game easier and for some more preferred.
Download Cheat Engine: http://www.cheatengine.org/
Run both Grimrock and Cheat Engine.
Alt-Tab into Cheat Engine
Click Icon: Select Process to Open
Choose Grimrock.exe
Check Enable Speed Hack
Type in the Speed Percentage, the click Apply.
Done.
For example 70% will slow the game down more to make each move more efficient, for those who struggle with the magic, this is what you want.
You can go slower or faster.
This works with virtually any game and trust me, it can really enhance gameplay for a lot of single player games.
You can assign key-bindings to adjust in-game different speeds when you want. Some times you might want to get to A to B faster, press a key and move 200%. Then you are in a fight, press 75% of normal speed etc. It's a great little gadget to use. There are 5 static speed keys and two which you can press that will increment speed X% each time you press it, one up and one down.

BTW, if you're hacking this in ArtMoney, set the search to "float".
