Yes this is one of those ones where you put the book there. That book is in the Bastion too.

Which one? I have tryed dark books and pirate books, none working and it also doesn't seems logic to put a book there.

I left items on floor in case these are hints, but no idea what to put into alcove. It must be related with dark.

Sometimes I get lucky in my brain while other times not very much. I still seem to be missing one boot item for the dwarf boots made from gem of ancient.
Forge of IX is still closed to me but I get a secret sound right by stairs coming in.
I found 2 buttons that reference the Shadowy Way
Still no go on the 8th Jean Bart testament.
Some of the items say that they will work with other items like frost giant gloves but I never found those.

The book collector guy. I managed to find one of his keys but still it seems like the Jean Bart with multiple keys
