Does it have DRM ?

Post by henrideath »

Hello,

This game looks great, too bad it isn't coming out on dvd, I don't like dematerialized purchases much.

Does it comes with DRM ? If so, I'm not buying it, I want to be sure I can burn it on a cd and still play it in like 15 years if I want to...

There is no DRM on the standalone, as far as I'm aware. There might be on the Steam one.. not so sure on that.

Buy direct from here and you'll get a direct download standalone and a Steam key. Best of both worlds.

Edit : Oh, someone did make a DVD sleeve, so if you wanted you could burn it to a CD and stick it in a box. The game is cheap so it's not a huge cost.

I guarantee you'll come back to this in 15 years time rather than the current crop of meh that's out there!

Purchased from GOG.com None of the games purchased from there have any form of DRM.

Well Steam itself is kind of DRM.

Thanks for confirming Byeohazard !

Ganimoth, I'm not using Steam, don't want to find myself cracking my own games just to play them long after Steam is dead...

I've said it before and I'll say it again...because I think it is a very important.
The fact that when you buy the game from the developers site you not only get a DRM free copy of the game but you also get a Steam key is to be totally commended and praised.

The guys at Almost Human really deserve gamers support for making that decision!
