Original portraits

Post by Mikail »

Good day!
Tell me, please, where are the original portraits of Grimrock 2, and also where are the equipment icons.
Meaning a file or a path to it, my operating system is Linux.

They are inside grimrock2.dat
In Linux, the location of grimrock2.dat depends on whether you're playing LoG2 in Wine, or with Steam Proton.

You're not being very specific here.
What do you want to do with the original portraits?

Thanks, I'm using Steam Proton.
I want to add to Grimrock 1 and use it as a portraits.
I opened the file, but it is very large and there is nothing incomprehensible.

Download the asset pack @ http://www.grimrock.net/modding/grimrock-2-asset-pack/

Portraits are in assets/textures/portraits/

Equipment icons are in assets/textures/gui/

Thanks a lot!
If it's not difficult, please tell me how they can be stuffed into Grimrock 1 so that they can be selected?

Which Linux distro and version are you using?
And which version of Proton?

I can only get LoG 2 running with Proton 4.11-13
When I use a newer Proton version, LoG 2 doesn't start.
But it works perfectly with Wine 7.14

As for LoG 1, I bought it on GoG.
Both the native Linux version and the Windows version + Wine work perfectly in Manjaro Linux.

Linux Mint Cinnamon 5.2.7
I will be able to tell the Proton version only after August 15th.
Also in the Grimrock 2 technical questions section, I wrote that now I can’t play Grimrock 2 due to a bug, in Grimrock 1 the texture of slime and ruby was changed
