I just got - and beat - the story mode of MK11 and have to say I really enjoyed it!

Mortal Kombat is one of my favorite franchises, together with RPG's Grimrock and Dungeon Master.
Actually after making my Into The Dark dungeon crawler, I have plans to make a fighting game :D

This is like a super, super early WIP:

MK2, MKX and MK11 are my favorites and I've spent so many hours with them.
The story mode of the newer games is definitely an experience, feels like watching a movie, I'm sure that must have cost a fortune to make. That's a nice addition, but I still play it mostly for the gameplay, so good.

Edit: Game is ready - https://store.steampowered.com/app/2020590/Dragon_Fury/

I've got some news for you :) I've officially started working on the game full time.

Dragon Fury. Let's Fight!

Wishlist on Steam - https://store.steampowered.com/app/2020590/Dragon_Fury/

Kickstarter - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/es ... ragon-fury

Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/DragonFuryGame/

I have MK1 through MK4. I lost interest in the MK games that came after MK2, back when they came out in the arcades.
But I liked (and still like) the first two, and I actually play them often; even did so earlier tonight.

I've enjoyed the "story" that they've gone on to develop in the series. They always pick "one ending" to be the true "ending" - but still cool that it's more than pick a cool fighter and learn their moves, if you want to get a story out of it too.

Nice! Do you plan on playing beyond MK3? I know MK1, MK2 and MK3 are all on gog.com (for example).
But not sure if you're doing MK through a console or PC?

I have MK4 installed, and have played it, but not much just yet.
The early 3D graphics are very jittery; as though they all suffer from a palsy.

I'm sure it's a physics bug/issue.

I remember that MK4 had cool music, but the graphics didn't age well ;)

If anyone's interested, just launched Kickstarter for my Dragon Fury game - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/es ... ragon-fury

Here's a video with latest progress: :)
