For your information, I played ORR2 dozens of times all the way through. So go stuff it.Zo Kath Ra wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 11:13 amDon't tell him about ORRR3.
He'll just give up playing after half an hour and tell everyone involved how much it sucks.

I am now attempting to complete this without hacking the console.

He places the ornate key into the keyhole and the door opens. I do the same and nothing happens. This is a definite bug. I don't know why it doesn't work. It just doesn't.

Might as well give you the sequence of events, following the video exactly.

Placed fool behind gate in room with all the dragon statues. Gate opened and tentacle monster appeared. Killed it and got dull ornate key. Took key to the two ornate locks. Placed the key into the lock on the far left. Wall opened revealing sign that says to put the key into the beast. Went back to the room, found dragon head that accepted key in mouth. Wall opened revealing room that contains ornate key. Took ornate key back to the double locks and placed it into the keyhole to the far right this time. Nothing happens. Ornate door doesn't open.
Now, here's something I noticed so maybe there is more to this.
When I went to do this again, reloading an old save, the first time I tried to put the dull ornate key into the keyhole on the far left, nothing happened. I thought this was strange. So I walked out and stepped on a pressure plate. Went back to the double lock and placed the dull ornate key into the keyhole on the far left and this time the wall opened up.
So is that it? I need to step on some series of plates before the ornate key in the far right keyhole will open the door? If not, I'm stuck. I can't get this to work and I did exactly what the guy did in the videos.

IIRC there are two correct keys (from different sections of the level)

Re: MASTER QUEST HELP: puzzles, clues, SECRETS, WALKTHROUGH
Yes, there is the dull ornate key that opens the lock on the left that reveals the message in the alcove and then there's the ornate key that opens the ornate door. I found them both and the 2nd key that's supposed to open the door, as in the video I posted, doesn't work. I followed the steps of the video to the letter. Why it doesn't work, I don't know. It just doesn't.

There are 2 ornate locks and they require 2 ornate keys. Do you have both?wagtunes wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2019 7:26 pm I am now attempting to complete this without hacking the console.

FYI: the video showed how the second key is inserted with the first already being in. Watch some more and previous videos to find out.

I did. several times. I don't know how many times I can describe the sequence of events.Dr.Disaster wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2019 10:27 amThere are 2 ornate locks and they require 2 ornate keys. First, he drops the food into the gate and the gate opens revealing the tentacles monster. He kills the tentacles monster and finds the DULL ORNATE KEY. He takes the DULL ORNATE KEY and inserts it into the lock on the far left of the two locks. That reveals the message to feed the DULL ORNATE KEY, which we don't lose after inserting into the lock, to the beast. He then does that which opens up the door to the secret room which contains the ORNATE KEY. He then takes that key to the lock on the right, inserts it, and the ornate door opens.
There is no second ORNATE KEY.
There is no second ORNATE KEY.
There are definitely differences in the game play. For example, after retrieving the ORNATE KEY, in his version, tentacles monsters still appear in several areas on that level. In my version, they are all gone. So there is no question that there are differences.
So I will go look for a second ORNATE KEY. I don't expect to find it.

This door required 2 regular ornate keys since early MQ beta. I know because i was part of the beta team.wagtunes wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2019 11:25 am So either you're mistaken OR between the time he played this game and now, something changed and a second key was added.

One key comes from the caves and one from the temple.
You've been telling about the key from the temple and that one only. Time to get the other one.

Well then I don't know what to tell you because I've watched the video several times. That's the sequence of events. You don't need to tell me anything. I've seen Gerugon using the first key; took me about 10 minutes to find it in his playlist, 2 videos before the one you posted.
Now stop spamming and get that key!
