Hidden door in level 3

This is NOT regarding the one with the torches.

My friend and I have been playing the game "co-op" (we chat on Steam as we play) and he found this secret room that I have not been able to find. Best he could figure it was after he killed all the spider eggs it opened but I cleared my level 3 times now and I don't see anything. How does this open?

Turns out I was an idiot and there IS a button to hit to reveal it. Go to that northern 4 tile square room and search the walls.

Does anyone have any good strategy for beating the green slimes. i'm getting my ass handed to me, lol.

Attack them at a distance with ranged weapons and spells, use the door to block them and rest and save between kills.
