The game looks smooth with a strong steampunk feel. Obviously, you have been influenced by the Legend of Grimrock games, which is a good thing.

All you need now (besides people purchasing it) is a dungeon editor :)
I think I'll get it once I've finished my mod.

Anyway, good luck with the game.
Cheers!
Thank you for the love! :)

Yeah, this makes me really sad. Can't do anything about it unfortunately. Sorry. :(

Bought the game, and loving it so far 8-) Please consider releasing the editor. It can prolong the game's lifespan as you've seen with the Grimrock games.

Thank you for the support!

Editor is a tough thing. We know you guys love to mod games, but because we use Unity, it's not as straightforward to make it work without licensing issues, baking lights, occlusion, etc. I'm not saying it's impossible, but a tough nut to crack. I'll be honest here, we don't plan to add an editor for the time being.

If you mean the Unity license, then that may not be a problem. Unity is free with all engine features (2017 and 5.6) until you make 100000 dollars with it. Not that it matters, because the only easy way to add editing is to release the whole game as open source

If it's not done programmatically, then I can see how that's a problem.

Does the Unity license limit or prohibit making a product that makes other products? (IE. a game editor)

*I have the same question myself with Gamemaker; wondering if making a game editor for user made distributable mod maps is against their license.

No, the thing is we would have to somehow allow players to access the assets from within Unity, and I'm not quite sure how that goes regarding licensing. Perhaps because mods are not commercial, it would be fine. But still, we would have to create tutorials and somehow limit the access to the assets and code. And that is currently simply not feasible for us.

Or, well, create a standalone editor, but that would take months to do.

It might not be specific to your needs, but it might suggest some ideas. 8-)

Thanks! It's not that much of a technical hurdle rather than manpower issue.
