Of note is that purchasing directly apparently uses the Humble Store (PayPal, Amazon, Google Checkout) and, just as with the Humble Bundles, you'll receive a link to a page which will generate your Steam code.

So people can add the pre-order to their Steam library right now by purchasing directly. Win-win.

I was completely in the dark about this game until yesterday and I am very pleased with the price, the Steam code, and the Humble connection. Good stuff. Can't wait to play.

It will be on Steam if you buy direct from Almost Human but I think AH make more money that way, but yeah GOG is there to for those not liking Steam, and GOG is always a good company to support.

You added achievements to the game. Are they steam only achievments, or will they also be in the standalone version from GoG?

The achievements use Steamworks so they are not available in the standalone version.
