Wow. What a rabid community. A person can't even tell a joke without foamy-mouthed fanboys trying to go right for the jugular.

Calm down, citizens. Nobody is here to insult your shiny new game.

Also, Dark, grow up my friend.

Its quite sad that the best 2012 "Bioware" game will be the Baldur's Gate Reedition.

Better off as a rabid community than a troll community.

Whisper wrote:We need emotionally engaging storylines, party banter, romance subplots (gay romances are a must), kickass cutscenes, multiplayer with unlockable items and perks, a hint system and a compass that points out where the secrets are, chest-high walls to gain cover from and detailed models of the party so you can see what they look like in their armor. Also, ditch the 90-degree navigation and make the levels more detailed. It's ok if they become more linear if they also look majestic.
No, we need Games exactly like "Legend of Grimrock".
!. Dungeons 2. Puzzles 3. Monsters - That`s the way we roll :)

I very much enjoyed reading this thread, and I think any negative responses to it are only coming from people who have a healthy respect for Grimrock.

All I'd say is it's a shame that Bioware have lost their way, let's not forget the great achievements they have made, and let's erm just forget Dragon Age 2. :)

Homophobia has no place in gaming or anywhere else.
Then I want at least a mod that exchanges gays with .... lesbians.

Or make it real pervert... a romance of a gay with a lesbian.

So if I really fondly like Grimrock AND Mass Effect, I'm not normal?

The comparison is silly. Bioware specializes in RPGs. Grimrock is not an RPG, it's a Dungeon Crawler and a pretty damn fine one at that. Besides choosing if my fighter turns left or right, hits hard or REALLY hard, there is not much role-playing going on. My characters are voiceless portraits with numbers. And it is exactly how it should be. When I play Mass Effect, I expect epic stories, insane cutscenes and over the top action. When I play Grimrock I expect ambiance, mind-boggling puzzles, exploration and creepy spiders.

Funny, both games deliver exactly what I expect of them.

Props to the OP, made me laugh.

OH! You forgot the blood splatters around the edges of the screen when you take damage. Actually that would be kinda cool...hmm.
