[MOD] Wrath of the Gorgons Revised Edition v2.0

Wrath of the Gorgons v1.2 has received, and still does, many positive comments. Some players have given me feedback on how the game could be better. I have taken their comments on-board, and have released this new Revised Edition (v2.0 is latest and below are the new links):

In Wrath of the Gorgons Revised Edition V2.0:

Bug fixes from v1.1 (game saves from v1.1 will not work with v2.0)

1) Graphical improvements made
2) Each level tweaked, and in most cases redesigned
3) Monster attributes adjusted, and earlier monsters replaced as too difficult for some
4) Better distribution of weapons, spells etc to cater for different party setups
5) More puzzles added
6) Numerous other changes made

I hope the improvements will make this a mod that appeals to ALL players. Please let me know what you think, even if you
have played v1.2. And let me know which version is best. I will leave v1.2 on Nexus and Steam for now until I hear otherwise!

Started playing it and I found some issues:

:!: Snails seem to attack twice with their regular animation. That means two lightning bolts from the thunder snails!
:!: In the unnamed dungeon two levels below the Chamber of Illusions (level 12), you forgot to remove a connector on a timer to "dungeon_secret_door"
:!: Healing Crystal can be used through sparse door (Like gratings) :lol:
:!: Game crashed when I added, removed, and then added again the "earth_essence" item to Hades's alcove.

Thanks for that. I've corrected the bugs you pointed out. Will release v1.1 soon.
As for the levelling up etc, did you start a party afresh or import one? If you import one, it makes the game too easy as you've pointed out.

The latest version of my mod Wrath of the Gorgons Revised Edition is now available.

* Fixed several bugs from v1.0
(v1.0 was pulled from both steam and nexus, and replaced with new version)

NB: game saves from v1.0 will not work with v1.1

Alright, I've gotten to...

:!: Tomb of Ares, and am stuck at the room with a lot of buttons and letters above them. No idea what to do here, tried naming the gods by their names from the scroll but nothing worked. (Also tried clicking them randomly. I only got a "click" from clicking any button then the "G" button) EDIT: Never mind. A hint would be nice though :|
:!: Thunder Snails still shoot two lightning bolts.
:!: A healing crystal can still be reached from behind a portcullis:

:!: EDIT: The altar near the exit that leads to the swamp area has a connector to "summon_stone_dormant_2", when its no longer there because it was already triggered when I removed the white wood staff.
:!: EDIT: Now I'm stuck in the sacred chamber where I need to activate 3 levers to open the bridge. The part where there are three alcoves, and no matter what I put there I get shocked.
And please, for the love of god, less random fireballs :cry:

Thanks for your input. Have pulled files from steam and nexus. Will release v2.0 soon. Will remove fireballs, and implement less rewarding of skill points. Have also corrected bugs you have discovered. Anything else, please let me know. Thought I'd checked everything, obviously not! :oops:

Hi again. In answer to your question:

The Death, Envy and Fire alcoves: You would have picked up during the game an ATHINA scroll, which has symbols on it and says it looks like some form of alphabet. It is. You should have picked up 3 papyrus scrolls, each with symbols on it. Use the ATHINA scroll to decipher the symbols, as each spells a word. Put the appropriate scroll in its corresponding alcove.
As regards the snail, still cant get it to stop firing 2 bolts, but working on it. Thanks again for your comments. Let me know if you find anything else.

:!: I haven't tested if it works, but you can probably skip the number-button puzzle by shooting a 'spit' from the serpent staff at the door.
Seems like you've accidentally defined two attack events for the snails attack animation, dealing damage twice and triggering onAttack with them.
Finished the dungeon, was pretty fun :)
You really have to work on loot distribution though
