Game Length

Post by fan »

Hi there!

Am I the only one, or is this game REALLY short? Don't get me wrong, I had a blast playing it, but it only took me 8 hours to complete.

I collected all the treasures, had all the "unique" armor-sets and (I checked after the ending) I found all the secrets up to floor 8. I'm pretty sure I found all of them after that too, but the walkthrough on Game Banshee is only half complete as of now. I played on Hard, which wasn't really... hard. Actually I'm not that good, maybe I just got lucky with how my party was set up, but it really bummed me out that the game was this short. After all the devs said 15 hours without knowing the maps.

As I've said, I loved the game! It just could've been a bit longer.

If you would not have used walkthrough, how long it would have taken for you? I am pretty sure that normal player uses more than 8 hours for play through without hints and spoilers.

And yes, 13 levels is about average length or maybe even slightly above that for games like this.

I didn't use a walkthrough, I just searched for one on Google after I finish to check if I missed any large/important parts of the game, because it seemed so short!

Congratulations on finishing this so quickly. :P

In any case, once map editor's out, we can expect a steady stream of new fan-made maps, so that's something to look forward to!

Well thank you! :p I wish it would've taken me longer though.

I didn't know that they were going to release a map editor, so that's something to look forward too!

No, I played it with automapping. Oldschool just seemed like work to me, maybe I'll try it on my second run!

I've just finished level 5 and I'm 10 hours in!

You are either a genius or a gaming god! (or just follow many guides) :P

Did you not die or get stuck with any of the puzzles at all? :o  :?

14 levels right? 34min/level on hard? i dont think so.
but even if you beat the game so fast. $12 for 8 hours are great.

can´t believe 8 hours for the whole game...

I´m in lvl4 after about 4 hours and the puzzles/riddles take their time if you want to discover all secrets....

A screen would give prove to that - you can surely provide one for us, don´t you ?
